Where's Your Head At? Part 2

Where’s Your Head At? Part 2

In the last post I discussed how our lives tend to lead us to position our head in front of our body, which overtime can cause neck strains, herniated discs, nerve entrapment, and other related conditions. If we have been injured in an accident, this pathway to pain can accelerate rapidly.

With our approach here at Surgical Alternative with SET Bodywork, we know how to address the key areas causing pain, even if they are not the places where our clients are feeling their pain. It wasn’t until I learned this specialized therapeutic approach to structural bodywork in SET that I realized how much the front of the neck plays a key role in back and shoulder pain.

The muscles in the front of your neck and chest are often very tight when you are experiencing neck pain, but not every massage therapist knows to release them, or how to do this effectively. Now that I practice SET Bodywork, I have seen dramatic changes in my clients. Often after just one session.

As one client who was experiencing chronic pain in her neck noted, “I never had that much of a shift from just one session before.” That was last Spring. I haven’t seen her since because she still feels great. What are you waiting for?

We feel very fortunate and excited to do what we love to do, help others. We have been dealing with clients in severe pain for over 14 years now, that are suffering from herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues, degenerative disk disease and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or are told they just have to deal with the pain. We use a combination of deep tissues massages and cranial structural techniques to balance and align the body. The reason we started blogging was so that we could reach and help some of those people that suffer from these and many other painful conditions. Surgical Alternative is now located in Lutz near New Tampa. We proudly service Tampa, St. Petersburg, Land O Lakes, New Port Richey, Wesley Chapel, Trinity and all surrounding areas. Healing with Heat, Part 2

Heat is an amazing therapeutic tool that sometimes gets overlooked because of its own simplicity. Though heat may not relieve long term pain permanently, it can provide temporary relief and is really very easy to do.

Providing heat to an area of pain will help to lengthen and relax over tight muscles, improve circulation, and reduce muscle spasms. The increase in blood flow allows the cells to receive nutrients and exchange their waste materials, allowing tissues to repair where damaged. Plus, as I mentioned in the last post, it feels comforting. As someone who practices therapeutic bodywork, I know that just feeling safe, supported, and cared for is sometimes enough to let our body heal itself.

At home, heat therapy can be as simple as drawing a bath; use some epsom salt for additional release of toxins from your body. Or you can heat up a rice sock or one of our Mother Earth Pillows, sold here in the office.

When using heat, always remember to be MINDFUL OF TEMPERATURE. Never put a hot pack directly on your skin, and always test out the water before getting in. There is no use in burning while trying to feel better.

If you’d like to learn more about how to use both hot and cold therapy for pain relief, be sure to come to my talk at 11:30am at our Grand Opening here at Surgical Alternative on December 10th.

As an advanced deep tissue massage therapist in Tampa, I believe in helping people who live with chronic pain to learn how to also help themselves. Though our SET Bodywork ( a combination of advanced deep tissue massage and cranial structural techniques)is highly effective for many conditions such as herniated discs, bulging dics, scoliosis, plantar fascitis, heal spurs, myofascial relief and more, the therapist and the client are a team. I can’t be with my clients all the time, but I can help them learn what they can do for themselves in between sessions. That’s empowerment.

Surgical Alternative is now located in Lutz,FL near New Tampa. We proudly service Tampa, St. Petersburg, Land O Lakes, New Port Richey, Wesley Chapel, Trinity and all surrounding areas. Please call today, or schedule your appointment online!

Healing with Heat, part 1

Healing with Heat, part 1

Warm StonesNow that it is getting cooler out, the use of heat for therapy seems to feel even more comforting. Whether you suffer from chronic pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, backache during pregnancy, or just are looking for an easy way to relax and unwind, heat therapy is an easy and inexpensive form of alternative medicine.

Cultures from all over the world and across time have acknowledged the power of the sun as a source of health and vitality. I don’t know about you, but getting my skin in a little bit of sun is sometimes just what I need. The sun’s rays feel so good partly because they help our body produce chemicals essential to our well-being, but I think it is also because warmth soothes our bodies.

There are physiological reasons why heat therapy in the form of baths or hot packs can help alleviate the pain of muscle aches and soreness, chronic lower back pain, chronic neck pain, muscle spasms, tension headaches and more, which you can learn more about my talk on Hot/Cold Therapy for Pain Relief at 11:30 am on December 10 at our Grand Opening and experience our new product, Mother Earth Pillows.

Heat is a great compliment to types of myofasical release therapy like SET Bodywork and why I use it in my sessions in the office.

We feel very fortunate and excited to do what we love to do, help others. Good to Go

deep tissue massage helps constipationOne thing about this job is that I get pretty intimate with my clients. I strive to create a space where they feel comfortable to share anything that may help me to maximize the benefits of our sessions. Sometimes that means talking about something we all hopefully share in common: bowel movements.

A client I have been seeing for a few years recently revealed that beyond the other areas of pain we have been working on, he has never been really, “regular.” So in his session before last I made sure to address the abdomen. Even though I have worked in this area before, it had been a while and now that we had this new objective I paid particular attention to releasing restrictions in this area.

I found out when I saw him again last week that the results of that session were monumental. He felt like he got to let go of a lot of old stuff; and indeed, he did.

A recent study on PubMed reveals that massage can be very beneficial to constipation, and suggests that massage helps the client to learn to relax both physically and emotionally contributing to increased regularity. Our advanced deep tissue massage and cranial structural techniques allow the body to rebalance and relax allowing some of those more uncomfortable restrictions to let go.Our stomach area is one of the most vulnerable parts of our body, housing vital organs upon which our survival depends.

Sometimes our body wants to protect itself, but ends up cutting off the normal physiological function of our bodies. Even being under constant stress can do this to us. When we are stressed out our bodies are responding as if we are preparing to fight or flight. In the instances when we need this, some systems like digestion are shut down to reserve energy for defending or fleeing. Unfortunately, we have the capability to be stressed about things even when they are not happening and can create a constant depletion of energy for digestion. Imagine someone you know that you might call a “tight-ass” – do they seem stressed to you?

Stress is not the only cause of constipation, but can be a major contributor. Relaxation is all about learning to “let go” – sometimes even the simplest human functions are great metaphors for life.

We feel very fortunate and excited to do what we love to do, help others. We have been dealing with clients in severe pain for over 14 years now, that are suffering from herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or are told they just have to deal with the pain. Sciatic Pain- How to get relief! Part 1

Sciatic Pain- How to get relief! Part 1

pinched sciatic nerve, sciatic pain reliefWhen I was in massage school, we were taught that sciatica (shooting nerve pain that travels down the back of the leg) was most often caused by a tight hip rotator muscle called the piraformis ( a muscle in the gluteal region of the lower limb). The piraformis connects our tailbone (or sacrum) to the top of our femur (or leg bone) and when contracted or when the muscle constricts, pulls the leg and knee to the side away from the body, opening the hip. Since this muscle crosses over the sciatic nerve, if it is overly contracted then it can pinch the nerve and cause pain. If someone came in complaining of sciatic pain, I would release their piraformis during the session using several techniques including deep tissue massage and body rebalancing.

In these sessions, the piraformis release “hurts good” at the time of the session but the clients often don’t receive lasting benefits from this release. A tight piraformis does not live on its own; it often a symptom of an imbalanced structure. Though we can get the piraformis to release and let go, if this is not done within a session where all the muscles of the hips contributing to a pattern are also released so the body can find a new way to balance more efficiently. Then the body will often return back to the starting pattern and sciatic pain returns. Addressing pain as a symptom of structural issues is our objective at Surgical Alternative. We utilize SET Bodywork release the muscles and rebalance the body.

This became very clear to me once I started to study structural approaches to pain rehabilitation. The piraformis, I discovered, is certainly not the only culprit to sciatic pain. Determining how to most effectively address this issue depends on adequate evaluation of the body’s structure. This is way we first visually assess the structure by observing the client standing so their weight-bearing structure emerges. Almost every client I have seen reporting a painful condition presents an imbalance in the pelvis with one side rotating forward and one rotating backward.

Although massage has been around for hundreds of years we are still discovering the power the body and mind having in the healing process. I have seen and lived this process with many of my clients, that is why I feel very fortunate and excited to do what I love to do, help others that are suffering from herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or are told they just have to deal with the pain. Why we are not just another deep tissue massage?

Why we are not just another deep tissue massage?

Including bulging discs, herniated discs and hiatal herniasI get inquiries from potential clients looking for deep tissue massage. Sometimes I think that clients have the impression that the deeper the massage the better the results. You’ve heard the adage “no pain, no gain.” I am here to tell you that you should expect more from your sessions and your therapist than just depth! How would you like to experience a session where several evaluative tools are used to assess your total body alignment and the bodywork systematically releases the soft tissue directly affecting your pain, and more! After discussing with your therapist the pain causing condition that brought you in, we perform a postural analysis to observe how your body is compensating to keep you going. Through postural analysis it is possible to determine which areas of their body are under more strain than others, and which muscle groups are causing this strain. We use kinesiology/ muscle testing before and after to show you which muscles are involved in the collapse and the changes that the cranial/structural work has made to your structure. Only after a thorough analysis, we finally couple all of this with the slow but deep tissue restructuring body work! Our therapists are highly trained and specialize in SET Bodywork which prepares us to help and effectively treat conditions ranging from herniated discs, bulging discs and much more, to helping you recover from that painful sciatica pain or the plantar fasciitis you’ve now been putting up with for months. Once you book your appointment , you are in for lasting changes within your entire body structure that will have you rehabilitated from pains you thought you had to live with. Managing pain is not acceptable here! We approach the body as a whole. We look to address the source of where the pain originated from, not address all the symptoms. When this is kept at the fore front of your rehabilitation plans we can rehabilitate you from pain, not manage it. You’ll find yourself resuming life activities you had not fully enjoyed in years! Contact us regarding your condition. WE CAN HELP!

Unleashing an Athlete's Potiental

Unleashing an Athlete’s Potiental

Specializing in deep tissue massageI have worked on athletes in the past but usually after they have finished competing. By then their bodies had begun to breakdown and they began to feel aches and pains from all the years of trauma they put on their bodies while competing. As an ex-athlete, I understand the toll years of training and competing has on the body. In my past, I have worked on athletes before competitions to help them stretch and warm-up their muscles but have always wanted to try our advanced bodywork sessions on them, to measure the impact. Well, I finally got the opportunity. My old track coach has a daughter that competes in high school and she was having some issues with tight muscles in her abdomen that caused discomfort when she ran and asked if I could help. As an athlete, the importance of keeping your body and muscles in top condition is vital to your success. I started by cranially rebalancing her to bring the structure into alignment and then followed up with the bodywork session, which combines deep tissue massage and structural therapy techniques that allow the body to remain balanced. The next day at practice she had mentioned being sore, but the pain had almost completely gone away. Luckily, we had a couple more sessions before her next match. After a couple more session she mentioned feeling pain free, but what effect would it have on her performance. Well, she called me right after her next match and was super excited. She had beaten her best time by over a second, which in the track world is a major accomplishment. It proved what I had always believed. What we do, can impact lives in many different ways and can help to gain that competitive advantage that athletes are looking for. There are more and more articles such as this one, http://www.amssm.org/complementary-and-alterna-p-47.html?StartPos=50&Type=, that show the advantages of complementary and alternative medicines.

I feel very fortunate and excited to do what I love to do, help others. We have been dealing with clients in severe pain for almost 25 years, that are suffering from painful conditions associated with herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or are told they just have to deal with the pain. We do make a difference! An inside perspective.

As with most specialized or advanced therapist I started out as a relaxation/sports massage therapist after a career in my major( Nutrition) didn’t work out. As a former track athlete I understood the importance and benefit of massage in treating muscular aches and pains and I have always been compelled to help others. A few years out of massage school I had a growing business and was doing well, but 911 changed all that. My business died and I had to reaccess my situation. Fortunately, I meet a man, my husband, that allowed me to pursue my passion of helping people who were in constant pain, feel better and return to normal lives. Through my search I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a new therapy that combined deep tissue massages and cranial therapy techniques, finding new ways of helping those in severe and chronic pain called Structural Energetic Therapy. A girlfriend was going thru the training and kept encouraging me to try a workshop and experience the work. After the first weekend of a 2 weekend workshop I immediately signed up for the 2year training. Doing this type of worked completely opened a whole new world of how I could really make a difference in others lives. I have had the luxury of learning and working for the last 9 years next to the creator of the main work I practice, who has helped me hone and perfect my skills. I love what I do, therefore I am constantly looking for ways to educate myself so that I can do the best possible job for my clients. I have even taken a cadaver class to gain a better understanding of the body and how the muscle, bones and organs connect. I know, strange but really cool and highly beneficial. OK,Who didn’t like the bodies’ exhibit! I take my experience and take the time to try to educate my clients during their session and show them that sometimes where the pain is showing up is not always the source of where the pain is coming from. I have been awed and privileged to get the array of clients that have been referred to me. Many of the clients I see have been in pain for a long time, have been told there was nothing that we can do for you, have been told their test came back fine, and or been told here are some medications to help manage your pain…good luck.

If anyone of you have followed my blog in the past, then you know I’m passionate about letting people know there are surgical alternatives. I’m also excited to see the recent positive press about the health benefits of massage(which I have tried to stress with my clients). With the internet, availability and speed of information is more widespread than ever and when Oprah and Dr. Oz are in the discussion at least we gain credibility. I feel fortunate to learn about techniques online that other have used for centuries but because of locate have been inaccessible. Technology has changed accessibility which will continue to evolve the world. I hope we get to a point where we can use massage and other alternative medicines to stay healthier and cure common alignments instead of medication.

I have been helping people cure many conditions associated with whiplash flexion/extension injuries, headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, degenerative disc disease, hiatal hernias, herniated discs or bulging discs, carpal tunnel, nerve entrapment, sciatica (providing sciatic pain relief), low back pain, hip pain, knee pain, or foot pain and tailbone pain – that is usually related to the musculoskeletal structure. By addressing and releasing the core distortion pattern through a combination of techniques including deep tissue massages and cranial release we are able to achieve pain relief, homeostasis, and return to normal function.

Lymph Drainage…What is it? Who needs it??!!.

The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system. It is a secondary pathway to the heart, parallel to the venous system. It moves fluids through the body and returns it to the circulatory system. The lymphatic circulation has a slow rhythm, as compared to blood circulation. The lymphatic system is the body’s waste disposal. It clears away bacteria, cell debris, excess water, proteins and wastes from the connective tissue and returns it to the bloodstream for ultimate removal by the kidneys. Lymph drainage massage increases lymphatic circulation and helps detoxify the body. It drains sluggish lymph nodes. The purpose of lymphatic drainage is to cleanse and regenerate tissues and organs, and to promote balance of chemistry. It stimulates the movement of lymph and encourages the formation of lymphocytes that produce antibodies, increasing the body’s resistance to infection. If tissue has been damaged, Lymphatic drainage helps to stimulate the lymphatic system to remove wastes more rapidly from around these inflamed tissues sending it back to the lymphatic system for removal and cleansing. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is safe and indicated for most people with a few notable exceptions. If you are frequently ill or just sluggish, MLD can help overcome this burden if the primary cause is an overtaxed lymphatic system. Minor edemas can be helped with basic lymphatic techniques. The lymphatic flow can stagnate for many reasons, such as swelling, chronic inflammation, lack of physical activity, stress, fatigue, emotional shock, age, poorly fitted brassieres, or brassieres worn for an excessive amount of time. When lymphatic circulation slows down, the regeneration of cells becomes less effective. This condition allows toxins and proteins to accumulate around the cells, causing cellular oxygenation to decrease and tissue regeneration to diminish.

As an advanced practitioner of Lymph Drainage Therapy I’m trained to interact with the fluids at different levels, from the superficial cutaneous circulation to the mucosa, muscles, tendons, periosteum and viscera. We also perform Manual Lymphatic Mapping to assess the direction of lymph flow before, during and after treatment to see if the location of lymph stagnation has improved.

Why live with back pain? Alternative therapy benefits

Weekend warriors and people living an active lifestyle that has recently been disrupted by pain as well as those of you that have jobs / hobbies that have you doing repetitive actions for extended periods of time fall in this category too.  Why are you putting up with these pains?  Now it’s affecting activities you love and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.  Does this sound like you? Adding regular bodywork as part of your health and fitness/ training regimen is preventative for injuries.   Which by the way helps you stay on your game?  SET bodywork is so much more than a deep tissue massage; this therapy incorporates cranial work, body logic, and deep tissue massage to focus on the source of where your symptoms are coming from.  Let me help you get back to feeling like yourself and resume normal life activities.
Having been in this industry for 13 years, I have always believed the benefits of massage especially the more specialized work like I do, have been undervalued.  So it was great to see an article on NPR discussing the benefits and the great results.  They compared the effectiveness of treatments for lower back pain using three different groups, full body relaxation massage, deep tissue massage and medication and physical therapy.  The study found good improvement with those who used either relaxation or deep tissue massage therapy over conventional types of treatment.  You can check out the full article at http://www.npr.org/2011/07/04/137609072/got-low-back-pain-massage-therapy-may-rub-it-out?sc=emaf.
At www.surgicalalternative.com we can help!

Scoliosis! A painful but treatable condition

Scoliosis! A painful but treatable condition

I see clients suffer from all kinds of pain and my passion keeps me working and training on alternative techniques that I can integrate to help my clients. One of my clients had been suffering for a while and this is their story.

“I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with Scoliosis. This gave me some relief knowing what was causing all my pain. My knees hurt, my neck would sometimes lock and my lower back was in constant pain. I had to roll out of bed as I could not sit straight up in the mornings. According to the orthopedic doctor, the outlook was not bright. They wanted to put me on pain medication, a body brace and possible surgery. None of this was me. I have always lived a healthy lifestyle and I had no intentions of changing, but what could I do? I started to do some research on the internet on alternatives to help with my Scoliosis, with no real success. One day, by chance, I was speaking to a co-worker concerning my plight and she said, “My daughter is now practicing massage. Let me ask her if she knows anything that could help you”. Her daughter recommended I call Peggy Boyd at Surgical Alternative. That was one of the best phones call I ever made. Peggy changed my life for the best. I have been going to Peggy Boyd for two and a half years now and thanks to her, I am back to doing all that I used to do, and more importantly, without Pain! If you have Scoliosis, this is where you need to be! No drugs, no body brace, no surgery. Peggy gave me my active life back and I am forever in her debt. “

I feel very fortunate and excited to do what I love to do, help others return to a normal pain free life. I have been dealing with clients in severe pain in Tampa Bay, for almost 14 years now, that are suffering from herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or are told they just have to deal with the pain. Living in severe pain for 20 years and how relief was found

I once had a client say,”I’d like to say to each of you, please don’t give up on health or give into your pain.”  They had been in chronic and acute pain for over 20 years due to accidents and health issues. They have tried all the conventional treatments- medication, nerve blocks, physical therapy and alternative as well; chiropractor, massage, acupuncture, etc.  Then they found my practice, I thought this presented as very difficult case but I knew that I could help alleviate some of their pain.  I explainedthe therapy process,.......

Why People Come to Surgical Alternative

Why People Come to Surgical Alternative
People come see me for many different reasons. A lot of times, I’m the last option because they’ve done all the traditional western medicine they know to do.  When their condition first started they stretched, they iced and took it easy for a little while, but still things persisted.  They saw their doctor, were evaluated, had x-rays, MRIs, or cat scans and were told nothing was evident. They were just given a prescription for pain meds and anti-inflammatory and sent on their way.  Some were even offered steroid injections that temporarily fixed the situation but did not offer long term relief.  Many were not satisfied with their fix and felt that they should not feel this way at their age or were told it was all in their head because their films came back clean but yet they were still in pain.  Most people come here because they were told by a friend, family member, neighbor or stranger that they knew of someone that could help.  I often call our office the “place of last resort”.  People have often given up hope by the time they make it here.  When they come for their appointment armed with their reports, films, and evaluations, they are so relieved to hear that their strange aches and pains that have been limiting their lives does not sound strange to me.  As a matter of fact they are the same symptoms that are common place and seen routinely at this office.  There is a combination of hesitancy, disbelief, and relief that I see them experience.  After all, many of them have gone through exhausting efforts and treatment to try and feel better.  It really hurts me to hear what they have been living/existing with and how they are suffering just to make it day to day.  After explaining what I do and how it can help, I begin to see a glimmer hope and relief washes over them.  It’s not uncommon for tears of relief to be shed or for them to have an emotional release because of what they have been living with and going though. I explain how the body can manifest pain, the underlying conditions for this pain and why I think I can help.  I do what I do because of the compassion I have for what these people are suffering or existing with.  Our work is able to help so many get out of pain and return to a normal life. I’m not talking about managing but truly rehabilitating their pain. Over the course of your life, the body goes through many traumas while playing sports, working, car accidents, or other daily activities. I think everyone can remember all the things we did to our bodies as children and growing up.  As we get older some of these traumas manifest themselves through the body and can cause severe pain.  A good example is my husband, who played football, basketball and soccer the majority of his life and as he got older his back and ankle muscles would cause intense pain.  Thankfully I knew how to fix himJ I am one of the lucky ones, I love what I do and I enjoy restoring hope. I have been dealing with clients in severe pain for almost 14 years now, that are suffering from herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or are told they just have to deal with the pain.  The reason I started blogging was so that I could reach and help some of those people that suffer from these and many other painful conditions.  At www.surgicalalternative.com we can help!http://surgicalalternative.com/people-surgical-alternative/

My Alaska Family receives effective treatment for Hiatal Hernias without Surgery!

One late summer my office received a call from a couple in Alaska inquiring about hiatal hernias.  The husband informed us that both he and his wife had been suffering from abdominal pain for quite some time, which they believed was contributing to their stomach disorders.  More specifically they’d been experiencing acid reflux and were interested in seeking out a more natural but lasting remedy.  They thoroughly searched the internet leading them to me and my work, which was surprising considering how little presence I had on the web at the time. Goes to show you the links people who suffer from hiatal hernias or those that are in constant pain will go through to find relief.   I explained how the specialized therapy I use called, SET body work, addresses this condition.  How I align the body and take out the structural core distortion collapse that contributes to 90% of all pains in the body.  Then I use a combination of deep tissue massage techniques to release the tissues in the muscles allowing the body to be more structurally upright reducing the stress on the diaphragm.  I explained to them how this session would need to be repeated along with other deep tissue work that would continue to bring the rest of the body into align and provide proper support.  They were excited about our previous successes in rehabilitating hiatal hernias and were relieved to find out there were alternative approaches available.   The next thing I knew their family of five were air bound for Tampa!

A New lease on life-Pain Free

A client came in suffering from severe neck and shoulder pain.  Their neck muscles were so seized or traumatized that they were causing a constant low grade headache. The muscles were so tight that they made her right shoulder draw tight to her body and drop lower than her left shoulder, which could also lead to painful conditions such as nerve entrapment. The client had been suffering and living with this from this condition for over 25 years.  . Their loss of range of motion in their neck, led to losing their ability to drive or operate other motorized vehicles, making a difficult situation more unbearable. In our first session, I used a combination of many techniques including deep tissue massage to help release the strain on the muscles, it was painful but relieving.  After only the first session there was an instant increase in their range of motion for her neck and surrounding tissues.  The second session focused releasing the restriction around the neck and shoulder areas.  We also explored what restrictions would cause the arm to hold so tightly to the body. In my 13 years using alternative therapy as complementary and alternative medicines, I have come to find that problems like these can be more mental or emotional than physical. I continue with the deep tissue massage techniques releasing the muscles that went into the ribs and around the rotator cuff.  After only the second session the client had regained blood vessels and circulation in the wrist area of the right arm.  Blood flow had returned to a bone in wrist that had recently been diagnosed as a dying bone!! The client had not mentioned this to me because they had thought there was nothing anyone could do about it outside of surgery. It has now been 2 ½ months and the veins in the right wrist are as beautiful as ever!  Their neck is maintaining its gained range of motion even though we still have a ways to go.  The best news to for me is they now drive themselves to their appointments!   How Awesome!  I have been dealing with clients in severe pain from herniated discs, bulging discs, hiatal hernias, peripheral nerve damage, nerve entrapments, pinched sciatic nerve issues and many more symptoms that people think they either have to have surgery for or just deal with the pain.  The reason I started blogging was so that I could reach and help some of those people that suffer from these and many other painful conditions.
